Hello! I'm Melanie Chisnall, a writer, life coach, and self-care advocate. I help introverts, empaths and creatives like you embrace your uniqueness, find what lights you up, and create a life that’s more fulfilling, inspiring, and sustainable.

I really do get the struggle

As an empath and creative, I know what it's like to feel like you don't fit in or that soul is begging for more. I'm here to help you get out of your head, own what makes you special, and create a life that feels meaningful and exciting to you.

"Mel helped me believe in myself and gave me the support I needed to follow my dreams and to do what really makes me happy. She helped me find my true passion in life, which has led me to make a career change – something I was always too scared to do."

Most people call me Mel

Nice to meet you! I'm the writer, life coach and unwavering self care advocate behind this virtual space.

In 2012 I took a leap and left the IT industry for a creative career. I learned the ropes of freelance writing, worked in digital marketing and fell in love with online communities and creating impactful content, services and products.

So why aren't I a full-time copywriter then?

A mission beyond words

Don't get my wrong, I love to write and be creative. However, if you had to ask me what I'm most passionate about, that wouldn't be the answer.

Mental health, happiness and well-being are topics I gravitate to like glue.

Especially when it comes to mindset, heartset and soulset – it all connects. You can be as ambitious as you like, excellent at your job, or full of creative ideas. But, if you haven't done the work... if you struggle with limiting beliefs, if you don't know your why, or you feel like you're running on an endless hamster wheel, things will never feel aligned. They'll never flow.

Trust me, I've been there.

I'm a recovering people pleaser and perfectionist and it took me a while to embrace who I am (introvert, INFJ and empath) and learn to simplify my world. Hello and thank you Marie Kondo! I'm a huge fan of building soulful routines and breaking things down.

Here's where it gets a bit personal.

And FYI, I'm all about vulnerability and real talk. I wish I'd had a life coach when I was feeling all over the place, shrinking myself back, and just sort of going through the motions. After my mom died, I lost my spark for a long time. My mom was the kind of women who put herself last, bent over backwards to help anyone, and pushed her own happiness aside.

I've been around MANY women like this in my career and personal life.

Listen, don't get me wrong. Ambition and being a good person are fantastic and admirable. But when you're constantly putting your own dreams, joy and well-being on the back-burner for others and not making self care a daily habit, your tea cup is forever going to running empty.

That's why I decided to become a life coach.

I know first-hand that success, joy and fulfilment exists without feeling a need to hustle and burnout or lose a part of yourself. I want to help as many women as I possibly can find what lights them up, move forward with it, and create a life that feels good to them.

More harmony, less hustle.

Mind to heart. Heart to soul. It all connects – in life and business.

"The willingness to show up changes us, It makes us a little braver each time."

Brené Brown

When I'm not behind the laptop...

You'll find me at the coffee machine or planning a new adventure or some kind of wildly ambitious trip, even if it's only two years down the line. On weekends, I love visiting local wineries and catching up with friends, but mostly, I really like quiet homey days on the couch watching series.
